The short version
This website does not set cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking, and it does not profile visitors. That is why you have not been asked to accept anything.
We think cookie banners have become a ritual that protects organisations rather than informing people, and the better answer is to not collect the data in the first place.
In one sentence
- No analytics, no advertising technology, no tracking pixels, no third-party trackers, no profiling — so no consent banner.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to store, which can then be read back later. Cookies have legitimate uses — keeping you logged in, remembering a preference, keeping a basket full — and they are also the main mechanism behind tracking people across the web.
There is nothing on this site that needs one. It is a set of static pages with contact forms. There is no login, no basket and no personalisation.
What this site does not do
- No analytics, including Google Analytics or any equivalent
- No advertising or remarketing tags
- No social media tracking pixels or embedded share widgets
- No session recording or heatmapping
- No fingerprinting or cross-site tracking
- No profiling or automated decision-making about visitors
We are not claiming any of this as a favour. It simply means we cannot tell you how many people read a page — which is a trade-off we are happy with on a site about care arrangements.
Third-party requests
Loading a page on this site makes no request to any other company. Every file the pages need — the stylesheet, the small amount of JavaScript, the icons and the fonts — is served from this domain.
Fonts
The typefaces are Newsreader and Hanken Grotesk, both open-licensed, and the font files are hosted here rather than loaded from Google Fonts or any other font service. Nothing about your visit reaches Google. This was a deliberate change: a font request is still a request, and it hands your IP address to a company you did not choose to visit.
Hosting
This site is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs for security and reliability. These may include IP addresses and the pages requested. We do not use them to identify or track individuals, and we do not have a dashboard that reports visitor numbers to us.
Form submissions
The enquiry forms on this site are handled by Netlify Forms, our host's form service. When you press send, what you typed — and the CV file, if you attached one on the candidate registration form — is posted to Netlify, stored against that form, and sent on to us. Submitting a form may involve a technical cookie or token set at that moment to protect against automated abuse. Simply reading a page does not.
Nothing on the forms tracks you around the site, and we do not use form data for anything other than responding to what you sent. What we collect and how long we keep it is set out in our privacy notice.
Controlling cookies yourself
Every major browser lets you view and delete stored cookies, block third-party cookies, block all cookies, or clear everything when you close the window. Look for "Privacy", "Cookies" or "Site data" in your browser settings.
None of those settings will break this site. If anything does break, tell us — that is a bug on our side.
If this changes
If we ever add anything that sets non-essential cookies, we will update this page and ask for consent properly, before setting them, with a genuine choice to decline. We will not add analytics quietly and describe it here afterwards.
